I remembered ben's poem about hates but loves. and i have some serious down time right now, so i thought i would try it and waste ten minutes. thanks ben for the inspiration!!
I hate not having anything to do,
But I love my free time to be a vegetable.
I hate having no time to work on something,
But I love my sleep.
I hate crabby teachers,
But love when they push me to do better.
I hate cold drinks,
But I love to have a way to cool off in the summer.
I hate being short,
But I love my view of other people.
I hate not being able to see the floor in my room,
But I love being on the run.
I hate how cold winter is,
But I love hot chocolate to warm me up.
I hate taking the long time to get close to people,
But I love knowing I can count on them.
I hate being far away from family,
But I love the sweetness seeing them again brings.
I hate being sick,
But I love appreciating being normal.
I hate how I break out,
But I love how I have learned to take better care of myself.
I hate homework,
But I love asking questions the day after.
I hate standing for long periods of time,
But I love the fact that when that happens I’m cooking.
I hate how people have lost their way,
But I love the rejoicing in many that find their way.
I hate the veil,
But I love knowing there is a father in heaven waiting for me.
I hate people,
But I love that everyone is my spiritual family.
I hate knowing what I am capable of,
But I love working towards a goal that could happen with the guidance of patriarchal blessing and my own obedience.
I hate unfair teachers,
But I love being able to crab about them later on that gives a friend and I something to talk about.
I hate challenges in our lives,
But I love receiving the blessings promised to me if I stay on the straight and narrow path.
I hate standing in front of my peers and bearing my testimony,
But I love the rush feeling that I get if I have something great to say and fight it until I can’t anymore.
I hate being the one to always come up with a devotional at the last minute,
But I love being able to think about something that inspires me and relate it to the gospel.
I hate the darkness,
But I love when the moon comes out and reminds me of Heavenly Father always watching us no matter what troubles we have in our life.
I hate saying I hate things,
But I love countering it with things I love.
