DA DA DAAAA!!!
We had a powerful storm the other night, it was crazy! there was a couple tornadoes, but not where we live. But we did get a good amount of hail and rain! it was really weird, because i was in the basement and i went up stairs and i smelled rain, so i went out to my car to make sure my windows were closed because i knew the back windows weren't. and it was misty, it wasn't raining, just a ton of moisture was in the air. i thought that was weird because it hardly ever does that here in colorado. so i closed my windows, waved to ben as he left the house. and went back inside. i went back to what i was doing and heard some thumping on the roof. so i looked out the window and there was hail. so i went to the back porch and pulled the cushions off of the chair and pulled down Greta's bucket of balls and luckily the hail didn't come down really hard as i was doing that. but as soon as i finished the hail started coming down really hard. i was about to hide in the basement when dad came out of his room because he had already gone to bed and was surprised at how big the hail was, i think it was at least half inch hail. we watched the storm pass by. it was really quick too. i got some pictures in, so enjoy the evidence of this epic tale!! (no, it really wasn't epic because there was no tornado near us... thank goodness!)
And yes, that is my foot!
Greta being adventurous! She really liked eating the hail.
you can't really tell, but there is a huge puddle right there behind the flowers! and it was big!! i really wanted to jump in it, but didn't want to get wet right before i went to bed...

We got lucky - many trees were uprooted 20 miles north of here, and the power was out for some people for 2 days. They had golf ball size hail there, and microburst winds. I think Troy was disappointed he didn't get to see a tornado, though!
I love crazy weather. Too bad that never happens here!
