Future!

Who is willing to admit that that word is a little scary. Right now it scares me a lot. I know i need to apply to colleges, but i'm scared of everything that will come with it. like moving out, making it on my own. paying for everything you need. how do you do it? i can barely get by with what i get because i love spending. I'm addicted to it! right now i just want to test my wings, and just cook. but i know i should get a better education. paying for it is the problem. when i look for scholerships, it's always for people in a certain city in a country or with brown hair or something! i wish someone would just tell me what to do, and what was expected of me so i could just do it. i don't like making big decisions like this! it really scares me. But can any of you give me suggestions or tips on anything!? please!
maybe some encouraging words would be nice! thank you!

scholarships are nice but they're really stupid and they're for people who get all A's and are freaking geniuses. So financial aid and what not will probably be your best bet - mine don't make me pay them back until I'm finished by which time I hope to have some actual money. It all seems pretty scary, but then you do it, and you realize it's just a more stupid form of high school. :) the spending thing you should definitely try to practice not doing, it just makes you frustrated later.

I'm really, really terrible at making decisions, so don't ask me!! ;) Yah, you can expect to have to work harder in general, but you'll probably also enjoy the independence too. Feels good to make that next step toward adulthood. --CAF

ps again it will be easier to make it because you'll be able to take on more full time employment. and if you save up everything you can you can make it a lot easier (i have a lot of opinions on all this stuff, so you can ask me any time! ) :)

isn't there a good cooking school in vegas...too bad Carrie still doesn't live there, then you could be roomates...or where else is a good one...oh, that's right my kitchen...I will hire you to clean, organize and cook for us everynight, and if its not good we'll thorw it back in your face and say, cook it again!

I dont know what I'm saying...just being silly.

Get some of that good finacial aid. Pray about it. Go where the cutest guys are. Ask your Dad.
All the biggest desicions in my life were made my praying, making lists of pros and cons...:)

good luck, you'll do great whatever and whereever you are...

It is scary, but so exciting at the same time! Just take things one step at a time, and don't let fear stop you from applying - no strings attached with applications, just possible opportunities!

You'll learn how to save $ fast, out of necessity. Hard work is good, you'll appreciate things more.

Mel is right, pray about it! And financially, if you pay your tithing and do everything you can to survive, the Lord will take care of the rest.

You might qualify for grants = free money. Just apply for financial aid in general and they'll tell you what you qualify for - loans, grants...steer clear of loans as much as possible. But if you need them, take them.

And just remember, school is hard - but so rewarding! And without higher education you'll probably be using your cooking skills at the local Burger King, nowadays it is a necessity!!

Sorry so long - I just really think getting an education is SO important! I loved it. You learn more than just what they teach you in class...life lessons & such. Okay, I'll stop. School is good - Amen. =)

oh yeah, grants are nice - but i usually only get $400 ish a year and that's split into the two semesters so it doesn't do much good.

Grandpa Farmer has the very best ideas for cutie pie granddaughters who might be recent high school grads. Join the Army and let them pay for you to go to cooking school. See the world and cook for 500 men!
Love you!
Did you figure out pigskin washing?
