yes, mushrooms. the good kind, not the bad kind! There is a recipe that i really like now that i have tried it out. me and Carrie were discussing how we like mushrooms and when we took her and Grammy to Carinos she said she wanted something with mushrooms. Well these are the big daddies!
The recipe just wants you to put some oil around the mushroom and grill it, put on some parsely, basil, and majoram, if you don't have majoram, oregano does the trick. grill on each side for about 3 minutes, and flip. do the bottom first, where the gills are and when you flip, put on some italian mix cheese so i can melt. I tried these plain like that, and that was good... then i tried them with some A1 sauce and that was even better, and then i tried it with some spagetti and that was delicious! I know, i had spagetti with it today for lunch!
my next goal is to have them as a burger, an portoburger!

eeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww
Dianna, your comment made me giggle. You must still be that picky eater you always were! These looked and smelled yummy - but I didn't get any! Oh well, maybe next time!
I dodged a bullet :)
OH man, I've never met a more picky eater than Dianna and Jeff...well he seems picky too.
I can eat mushrooms, depends on how they are cooked...Mark wont touch them.
how can you eat something that is fungus? gross!
i'm still pretty icky, but i am at least trying things! like the other night i had some tomato on my salad, but i still hate them :) Jeff is just as picky as me. as far as that sort of thing goes, anyway. he still eats some stuff i hate.
mmmmmmm i wish i could have been there to try your mushrooms, e.
what's even better about mushrooms -- i learned when i was a biology major -- is that they're neither really plants, nor are they animals. they're something inbetween
yum!!
HA! i said i'm icky, not that i'm picky.
funny.
oh, i love you guys!!
Wow...your a fancy cook! I don't know how I'd do with mushrooms, they're not my fave. But I'd try it for sure.
yesterday jeff and i were up at the FCHD building on campus (stands for family consumer and human development) and someone was giving a cooking class and it smelled SOOO good. made me think of you.
