I've always hated pizza crusts. Unless i take a bite and it's not bad. Bread crusts i can handle, and french bread crust isn't bad, unless i'm making garlic bread and forget it's in the oven and it gets hard...
but to the real point of the story, in my culinary class today we made dough for a tart crust, and it was the weirdest way of making i have ever seen! first you use a skimpy 1/4 cup of ICE water, then dissolve a 1/4 cup of sugar, and salt. then add 1 egg yolk and mix it up. then you put the flour into a food proceccor, and add a cup and 2 tablespoons of butter in there until it forms pea size balls. then you pour the egg water mixture into the open hole in the top until it comes together. and every other groups mixing was different. we barely had to put any of the egg mixture into ours, we still had at least half of it after it came together, and another group's used most of it... it was weird! anyway, i tasted the left over and it had a strange texture, but i liked it. I had never thought of doing that for a tart crust. We were the only group who prepared the filling today and now we are ready for thursday, and put it together! the cooked apples tasted so good! i just wanted to eat it up right there!

i thought you said two CUPS of butter. ew.
and i hate pizza crust too. except the kind with cheese inside.
Now why don't you make yummy sweet treats for us at home?? Oh yeah, you are too busy working. I guess I should be making the sweet treats, huh?
Mmm...tarts...=) Sounds great! I actually really love crust - it's my favorite part. I even eat Ry's left over pizza crust...tasty goodness. So, next time we are all together and have pizza, I'll just take care of everyone's crust for them!
I like the pan pizza at pizza hut.
