I have gotten a job at a retirement home. but it is more independent than it sounds. The elderly don't need constant help or anything. The place is just across the highway and Santa Fe. Here is a picture:
You can't really see it very well. it is at the center of the pic. it's there, you just have to look!
I'm really excited to work there. It's called Wind Crest. I'll be making $7.50 and hour, and I'll be a waitress! i'm really excited about learning how a restaurant works. the whole place is just a fancy hotel, basically. Or at least i looks like a fancy hotel. I start Mondays!
What was your first job? Or have you had too many jobs to remember your first?

I actually worked at a retirment home for one day...i thought i was going to be a cook but then they said that they gave the job to someone who aleady worked there but I could stay and do dishes, I finished the day out but never went back...didn't want to clean dishes...not too fun.
I liked volenterring though...that was fun talking with the people.
Wow! That's so fun! I loved being a waitress. So far, that's been my most enjoyable job. I hate my job right now, I'd so rather go back to being a Hogi Yogi lady. My first job was at Dillard's, they paid $10 an hour. But that's not normal, so don't feel bad! My waitressing job paid $7.50 as well. More than enough for high school. We also got half off the food for lunch! :)
I get a free dinner!
That's great Elcia! Congrats. Sounds perfect for you. My first job...cleaning houses when I was 10 yrs old. Good times. =)
Good job, E at well, getting a job. ;)
First job housecleaning (at 11 years old) of course, but first timeclock punched was for Babbels Dry Cleaners in Twin Falls.
So was your first day today? do you only work mondays? what kind of hours do you work? :)
I start today, 9-10, i'm not sure what days i'll be working, but the hours are from 4 or 4:30 to 8:30
