Pecan Chews

Preheat oven to 350, rack in the middle position

1 C Butter (2 sticks)
3 C brown sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda3 tsp vanilla
2 C finely chopped pecans
4 C flour

Melt the butter and add brown sugar. Mix well and let cool. add beaten eggs and mix. Add salt, baking soda, vanilla, and nuts. Mix well. Add flour and mix until flour is thoroughly distributed.

Grease the cookie sheet. Form dough into balls with your fingers. Place them on a greased cookie sheet, 12 to a standard sheet. Press them down with a spatula. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Let the cookies sit on sheet for a minute then remove!.
