The Chronicles of Narnia

Boy was this book LONG! the main reason i read it was because i love the movies! and i wanted to read the next book, Voyage of the dawn treader, because it is going to be the next movie and i wanted a little snipit of what it was going to be like. the movie doesn't come out til next year. i wish i was coming out this year!
The books are really good. i can't believe that they were meant as children's stories! i started these books a long time ago, i can't even remember when i had started it! it took some motivation for sure, especially when it seemed like the story wasn't going anywhere. and i'm not really patient with long books like that. so i'm totally proud that i finished it!
I feel that after reading the books, i have a better understanding of some of the things that happened in the movie. For instance, in the second movie they talk about Telmarines, and i had no idea where they came from, they just happened to be there. but reading the books, they give you a wider scope of what the land was like, there wasn't just Narnia, there were different lands like Calormerene and telmar. other kingdoms that the kings and queens had treaties and wars against before the four went back to their own world. i think i like the idea of a world with different people living together, whether at war or not, opposed to the closed in view of narnia, like the movies kind of put it. maybe they will get a better view in the next movie, and make it look like there are more than just narnias around.
Anyway, the only part i didn't like of the books was the way it ended! i won't say anymore than that, just in case some of you may want to read it and don't want the ending ruined for you. just know i thought it would be better!
