pictures!

I'm beginning to really love pictures. i hate having to take the time to take them, and then later on remember what was going on then. so i guess that is what scrap-booking is for, huh? i have never thought i was photogenic, and i don't ever think i will like any of the pictures i will be taken in, but i do like this one!

so if you had taken any pics of me up at the cabin, or really any pic of anything, please send it to me. i had my camera out for like, five minutes and then got tired of relatives giving me the look. :)

Next is news, some of you know because i had mentioned something up at the cabin. i have been promoted! now i am at status of supervisor. although i am doing more managing work because my manager is lazy and can't seem to do it himself because he would rather be cooking than taking care of the paperwork that i now have to do. but i'm being positive about what i am doing. i just get to make sure the kids stay safe while plating all the food, and not eating when we are working! especially behind the line (the line is where we plate the food right in front of the customers or residents. in the dining room they do that in the kitchen, but this is the cafe).
i have been having fun and only getting a few problems from certain people, like Ben's girlfriend's little brother. he just doesn't like me and i can't seem to get along with him, so i just leave it at that. my manager assures me that if he gives me a ton of trouble, then he is either going to have to switch back to the dining, or leave all together. so we will see what happens. i've tried to get along and all but he won't have it. but on a more exciting note, i got to actually cook yesterday! we had a chinese theme going on, so i got to stir fry all the veggies the residents would pick out and serve it to them! it was so much fun and the highlight of my day! one of my friends in the kitchen, rick said that the chef has a plan for me.. a way for me to learn so much faster than if i was in the prep cook position i wanted peeling potatoes and not doing much of learning. i was thinking, i would really like it if he would tell me all this, because i would like to know so i could have the patience. but we will see. everyone says that i had made the right decision. since i had already "perfected" the dining room, and know every aspect of it, that i needed to move on and try something else. so i suspect they are going to have more bars that require cooking so that i can learn how to cook for restaurants.

Very nice pic! I haven't seen that one before!

I'm glad you are enjoying work - seems weird not to have seen you for the last 2 days when we live in the same house! Hopefully we will get to talk this weekend!

i'm a jerk that thinks that photography is way overrated. just like poems that are slapped together or paintings done by a horse that happens to hold a brush in its mouth well.

i said i was a jerk.

it's okay dianna, i still love you! ;)
thanks barb! i was suprised that i didn't hate that pic, i think it was because dad took it, and he is soo good with taking pics plus he was in it so it made it all better. i usually don't like my pics because of my fang tooth, but now i really don't care about it that much! and thanks for the congrats!

Elicia, I think more experience is GREAT. It will pay off later. The more you know about different aspects of the food business all the better! Be patient young lady.

And can I have a copy of that picture, a paper copy I can put in my album? Pleeeaaasssseeeeee.

And I did get a few pictures at the cabin, I will see you get them.
