I really admire the amish, and how they can stick to their beliefs. when i was on my youth ward trip to nauvoo, we went through some amish land... areas and we saw so many. they seemed so friendly, and waved to us when we passed them! i thought that was cool, how they weren't going to ignore you because you use a car, or a huge bus in our case.
i guess there is this amazing thing that a company is using them to promote their new product. it's called a heater miracle. the amish carpenters are basically building some genuine mantle pieces, and putting them around this heater that barely uses any electricity and gives out a huge amount of heat. no ashes, no wood, or chimneys. i think this would be really cool.. but very expensive. i don't know how long this product has been out, but the poor amish are working really hard to make enough, with christmas creeping up... (4 months).... they have a ton of orders. some people think that they (the company) have been scaming the amish and people for big bucks. they say the heaters are really only $25, when you are paying about $295 for them.. or something like that. i don't know.... maybe. but i thought it was cool how technology has created a good heat source supposedly with out water. just thought it would be good to blog about!!

Interesting. Wonder how it works. I think it's cool how they stick to their beliefs too - I've also heard they're way nice to outsiders.
