Hot Chocolate

You all know my love for hot chocolate! my favorite brand is Stephen's, my fav flavor is a caramel chocolate blend, the picture has the actual title of it, so if anyone wants to, you can send me a pack of that stuff! they don't sell it out here... ;) to die for! but the other day i was looking at all the hot chocolate mix and was like, i want the flavor in a different form, expecially since spring and summer are coming soon, and i'm not downing hot chocolate like i used to, the mix would just sit there until fall. so what i did was make a milk shake, and just added some of the mix. it was REALLY good! but if you are going to try it, don't put to much in, it becomes very crunchy and powdery at the end of the shake. i liked it so much, now i can have hot chocolate all year round, without getting tired of it! it'll just be in a different form! oh! i can't believe that people are starting to make a mix with added caffeine! i think our country is hiked up on enough caffeine already!
Oh! and an update on my competition! today i met with most of the other contestants, and they said that there was like, 34 of us, so that makes me nervous! but the chef who went through all of our applications showed us what we need to do, and the basics of what we are making. they said that the whole thing should be over by 2, so the best part of that is that i'll be able to go to prom, and after prom and make everything a memorable night! i don't care what you say! i remember having fun with my friends after a competition! i don't care if i have a date or anything like that!! okay maybe i do a little, but that's not important!

So what are you going to make for the competition? And are you going to buy a new dress for the prom?

just make sure you get a LOT of sleep before, that sounds like a really full day. and if i remember right kids like to do the whole dinner out thing before prom and whatever. oh, by the way, stephen's is what we used in our shakes at hogi yogi. made them really tasty.

I love that stuff! well i'm not sure what my friends are planning, i think they are going out to eat at some place that one of my friends can eat at. (she's alergic to glucose) and then the whole dance, and then after prom. so it is going to be a full day! but i think that is what will make it memorable! I was thinking about the dress this morning, and i think what i'll do is look for a dress at goodwill or sayvers and see if i can find one i can fix up, that way, no one will have my dress! or fix up this black dress i have for band performances, since i'm not in band anymore. but if all comes to worse, i'll just have to buy one last minute. it worked for me and homecoming!
For the competition, i have to make shrimp cocktail. they are going to provide a pre-made sauce, which will help cause i never cook shrimp. but i have to cook that and present it in a way no one else will. and then i have to make rice with sauted chicken and broccoli. i'm so excited to do this! it's going to be a snap! although there are 33 other competitors i have to beat.. so we will see!
