Token System

I went babysitting again today, and i found out that the family i babysat for does the token system. which is if the kids do their chores well, or they do a good deed... or treat their babysitter nicely... they get a token, which then they can cash in and get a prize, or a treat. Mom and Dad did something like this when we lived in Wellsville, and i loved it. I think when i have kids, I'll do something like that. what do you guys think?

I think it can be good...but not when it's over-used. Then kids only learn to do good things for the 'treat/money', not just because it is the right thing to do. I actually am pretty opinionated about parenting tactics...I'll get off my soap box now...=) Sorry...it's my degree/education, it's saturated my brain with opinions....

i do agree it can be wrongly used.
